Melbourne Wholesale ("we," "us") operates a business-to-business (B2B) wholesale ordering service for licensed retailers, available at melbournewholesale.com and through our iOS and Android apps (together, the "Service"). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is intended for business customers and is not directed to consumers or to anyone under 18.
Account and business information. When an account is created for your business, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and business address. Because we sell age-restricted products (such as tobacco and vapor products) only to licensed retailers, we may also collect copies of your retail licenses and permits.
Order and payment records. We keep records of the orders you place, invoices, account balances, and payments recorded against your account. We do not process credit card payments inside the app and do not collect card numbers through the Service.
Camera (barcode scanning). The apps use your device camera to scan product barcodes. Scanning is processed on your device; camera images are not stored and are not transmitted to us. You can deny camera permission and enter barcodes manually.
Technical information. Like most online services, our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address, request time, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
We use the information above to operate the Service: creating and managing wholesale accounts, verifying retail licenses, processing and fulfilling orders, maintaining accurate billing records, providing customer support, and keeping the Service secure. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service (such as our hosting provider), who are bound to use it solely on our behalf; and where required by law, regulation, or legal process, including laws governing the sale of age-restricted products. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
All communication between the apps, the website, and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to account data is restricted to authorized staff. We retain business records, including order and payment history, for as long as your account is active and as required for tax, accounting, and regulatory purposes.
You may review and update your account information in the app or by contacting us. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information; we will honor the request except where we are legally required to retain records (for example, completed transaction records). Camera access can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
The Service is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and accounts are provisioned only for verified, licensed businesses.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
